Elsewhere in the Fora I mentioned Tribler as an alternative to get content.  I do not use Facebook Twitter or any social media except mail.

My experiment with Tribler has gone as far as making a My Channel location
to upload one torrent item-- a film from the 1940's called Cry Havoc featuring
all women leading the cast-- all major Hollywood stars of the period.  It's something I've had in
my torrent collection at TPB or Demonoid.  Since Demonoid's index is not available
I'd have to check on it.

Tribler seems to be driven by word of mouth about channels.  My experiment here is  to see if an announcement could be shared by readers of this forum at Tribler.  This would gain their merit points for both leecher and seeder.

I can take any interest either in the forum or a PM.  I'm hoping for a long term solution provided by Tribler where I can reactivate content from Demonoid.   Meanwhile my 'torrent farm' remains active.

Simply put,  I may need help in error checking and understanding how Tribler works and would like to find others with interest.

I just wanted to share a quick note. I read an article on the possibility of Netflix closing down their DVD service in the next few years. It is my opinion that it is more critical now than ever to work on saving our cinematic history. This is no longer just about a matter of copyright for me. Netflix is literally the only resource for movies and documentaries that no one else has. If we lose Netflix DVD, then I do think that a segment of our torrent community (classic community) may be impacted. I also think that (in terms of the classic torrent community) that the old technically savvy torrent users donít seem to be present anymore. This could be the result of the change and shift in the torrent culture, from the use of private trackers to public.

The quality of service from Netflix DVD has definitely plummeted (significantly). Theyíve already closed down many of their DVD centers. And judging from their unacceptable slow turnaround time on deliveries, I think itís safe to assume they also laid off workers. If we lose Netflix DVD, which I expect we will at some point, a lot of valuable history will be lost forever! It is up to us as ďhistoric archiversí (if you will), to keep what we will lose in the torrent community (copyrighted or not). And the only ones who can really appreciate what Iím talking about, are the old time veteran torrent users. I supposed the other important work is trying to encourage old folk to finally learn on their own what the fuck torrents are, and how to safely use them. The fact that there are people who still buy bootlegs, is a strong indication that the majority of people are still technologically far behind.

I thought you had written the title wrong and ment "Streetfighter", but after checking imdb I realized there were two movies with about same title released in '74 and '75. The one from '75 is with Charles Bronson and yours is the Japanese one, that was given the title "Den sorte drage" (The black Dragon) in Danish, and after seeing that title I remembered it  :)

I had a 5 year period starting 15 years ago, where I was trying to get all the old martial art movies from the 70'ies I loved watching my teens, and Street Fighter was one that kept avoiding me, now I know why, especially since I remembered it as Chinese ;D Finding the movies titles was often hard detective work, so I spend hours at imdb going through the movies of actors, stuntmen and stunt directors, but I did find a lot of good movies too, I never knew about.

Yes.. foreign films can be a challenge in that way. One of my favorite martial arts films of all times is "When Taekwando Strikes Back (1973)," starring my favorite legendary female marital artist of all times, Angela Mao Ying. However, I couldn't find it for many many years because Mandarin "Tai quan zhen jiu zhou (1973)" was used for it's title instead. These are some of the woes that a collector goes threw I guess.

It's nice to read you say you love old martial arts movies. I hesitate to share mine because I still thought that no body is in to watching these movies anymore. They do appear to be out dated tho. They're kind of like an American version of "B" movies now. Some of these old "serious" martial arts movies is almost like watching bad comedies now.

But, as I keep having to remind myself that, the internet is international now. It no longer matters if Americans would watch it. There are many people from other countries who are desperate to download these movies, cause there is no other way to get it in to their country.

This is why I continue to share oldies! This movie is not only old as shit, its obscure. Yet, there are still fans of this movie (who still remember it!). over 90 people downloaded this movie, and I posted it only 3 days ago. This is why I see torrents so differently from most people. It's not just a way to "illegally download." It's also a way to acquire history we would have never gotten otherwise. These movies does no one any good, if they're locked away in copyright (or sometimes public domain all kept in a central place (un-shared)). You may think that nobody wants these, but they're plenty of people who do. But sadly, I've recently come to realize that foreigners around the world download care more about American history than Americans. Now that's a fucking shame.

I got an email from Vudu. I could be wrong, but I think it's because people were giving away all those codes, and the copyright holders said NOPE!!!

Another torrent site tip found at Torrent Freak.  They have a piece on Tribler
which could be the future of BT.  TF is ahead of the Wiki for this so better to
read the TF piece.

I've installed it and played around with it.  It depends on what you are looking for.  Downloads only, no ups.

the story is here:

Although this has actually been around for awhile, I'm not totally convinced. I'll stick with my seedbox thank you.

I've been noticing a good number of torrent created by Demonoid uploaders showing up on Zooqle.  Thing is, the site doesn't seem to have uploader details so I can't browse the content and considering there are a couple of uploaders I used to follow on Demonoid now there, that is a little disappointing.  I've not created an account with the site, can't see why I would if I don't intend on uploading, but I have a feeling that I might find uploaders noted in torrent details if I do.

I think some of these engines pull information in the same way these IMDB plugins work. They only pull specific information (they feel are most important). I've created an account with the; they don't allow you to upload. That pisses me off... LOL
